Personal tasks, notes, and calendar
Updated May 14, 2026 · FinityAi
These are three separate apps, not one combined surface. Each has its own switch under Integrations, its own data store, and its own entry in the sidebar under Productivity & knowledge. Use them in the product on their own pages, or let the assistant work across them when Connected apps & tools is on in chat—see below and in the Assistant guide.
Integrations and the assistant
Each app is controlled independently. Enable Personal tasks, Personal notes, or Personal calendar on its own Integrations page—turning one on does not enable the others. Browse everything under Integrations.
For the assistant to list, create, or update items in these apps, two things need to be true: the feature is on for your account and Connected apps & tools is on in Assistant settings. If that switch is off, you still get normal chat without tool calls. For models, Auto routing, and threads, read Assistant — user guide.
Personal tasks
A private task list tied to your account. Only you can see it while signed in. Capture items, organize them with status and categories, and view the same data as a sortable list, a Kanban board, or a Gantt timeline.
Turn it on
- Open Integrations → Personal tasks.
- Enable Turn on personal tasks for my account.
- You can turn it off anytime; your items stay saved until you delete them from the app or use Delete all items on that settings page.
Open the app
From the sidebar, choose Personal tasks, or go to /app/tasks. If the feature is off, the tasks page links you to Integrations.
Three views, one task list
Use the view tabs at the top. Each mode shows the same items; changes stay in sync.
- List — Sortable table with search and filters. Use the row menu to edit, change category, or remove an item.
- Kanban — Drag cards between columns to update status. Open a card to edit details.
- Gantt — Adjust start and end dates on the timeline. You can add a new item starting on a chosen date from this view.
Add and edit items
Click New item to create a task. Fields include name, optional notes, start and end dates (for planning and Gantt), status, priority, category, and due date when you use it. Save from the dialog to persist changes.
With the assistant
When Personal tasks is enabled and Connected apps & tools is on, the assistant can list tasks in your account, create items with titles and fields you specify, update status and dates, and remove tasks you ask to delete—same capabilities you have in the UI, driven from chat.
Delete all task data
On Personal tasks settings, Delete all items removes every task from your account. That cannot be undone. It does not turn Personal tasks off, and it does not delete notes or calendar events.
Personal notes
A private notes app for markdown-style writing—only you can see it when you are signed in. It is separate from the hosted Obsidian vault integration and uses its own storage.
Obsidian (under Integrations) connects a vault you host or sync elsewhere. Personal notes lives entirely inside FinityAi—good for quick capture and assistant edits without wiring an external vault.
Turn it on
- Open Integrations → Personal notes.
- Enable Turn on personal notes for my account.
- Optional: use Delete all notes in the danger zone to wipe every note; that does not turn the app off.
Open the app
Choose Personal notes in the sidebar or go to /app/notes.
Writing and organizing
Create notes with markdown content, assign labels, pin important notes, and archive what you don't need in the main list. Use search and label filters to narrow the list; open the command palette to jump to a note quickly. You can duplicate a note when you want a starting copy for a new doc.
With the assistant
With Personal notes on and Connected apps & tools in Assistant, the model can list and open your notes, create or update title and content, adjust labels and pin or archive state, and remove notes when you ask—aligned with what you can do in the notes UI.
Personal calendar
A private calendar for events and blocks of time, in beta. Data lives in its own store—not your Personal tasks list. Use it when you want schedule-style planning separate from task rows.
Turn it on
- Open Integrations → Personal calendar.
- Enable Turn on Personal Calendar for my account.
- Optional: enable Desktop notifications for calendar reminders so reminder times can surface as system notifications (browser permission required).
- Optional: Delete all events removes every calendar event; it does not turn the calendar off.
Open the app
Choose Personal calendar in the sidebar (labeled Beta) or go to /app/calendar.
Views, events, and reminders
Switch between month, week, day, and agenda layouts. Create timed or all-day events, set optional recurrence, and add in-app reminders (toasts near the scheduled time). If you enable desktop notifications under Integrations, reminders can also use your browser's system notifications after you grant permission.
Subscribe on phone or desktop
On Integrations → Personal calendar, you can generate a private subscription URL to add this calendar read-only in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or other apps that support webcal-style feeds. Treat the link like a password: don't paste it into chat or shared docs; rotate or revoke it from the same page if it leaks. Links expire on a schedule—create a fresh one when needed.
With the assistant
With the calendar on and Connected apps & tools in Assistant, the model can list events in a range, create or update timed and all-day items, delete events or detach one occurrence from a recurring series, and suggest free blocks between meetings—matching the tool surface described on the integration page.
