Personal tasks

Updated 2026 · FAi

Personal tasks is a private list tied to your account. Only you can see it while signed in. You can capture items, organize them with status and categories, and view the same data as a table, board, calendar, or timeline.

Turn it on

  1. Sign in to FAi, then open Integrations → Personal tasks.
  2. Enable Turn on personal tasks for my account.
  3. You can turn it off anytime; your items stay saved until you delete them from the app or use Delete all items on that settings page.

Open your list

From the workspace sidebar, choose Personal tasks, or go directly to /app/tasks. If the feature is off, the tasks page offers a shortcut to enable it or open the full Integrations directory.

Four views, one dataset

Use the view tabs at the top of the page. Each mode shows the same items; changes sync across views.

  • List — Sortable table with search and filters. Use the row menu to edit an item, change category, or remove it.
  • Kanban — Drag cards between columns to update status. Open a card to edit details.
  • Calendar — See items on dates; open an item from the calendar to edit it.
  • Gantt — Adjust start and end dates on the timeline. You can also add a new item starting on a chosen date from this view.

Add and edit items

Click New item to open the create dialog. Every item has:

  • Name — Short title (required).
  • Notes — Optional longer text (for example reminders or links).
  • Start date and End date — Used for calendar and Gantt; end must be on or after start when both are set.
  • Status — Backlog, Todo, In progress, Done, or Canceled.
  • Priority — Low, medium, or high.
  • Category — Personal, Work, Life & home, or Other (for your own grouping and filters).

When editing, you can clear both dates or set only one; the app may fill in the other when you save, depending on context. Save from the dialog to persist changes.

Delete all data

On Personal tasks settings, the danger zone action Delete all items removes every task from your account in every view. That cannot be undone. It does not disable Personal tasks.
