Discord

Discord DMs let you continue assistant chats from the same account you use on the web. After linking once, your Discord DM thread uses the same assistant settings and enabled tools as your main FinityAi workspace.

What you need in Discord

  • A Discord account and access to DMs.
  • Your Discord user ID (digits only). Turn on Developer Mode in Discord and copy your user ID — see Discord's ID help.
  • Access to the Discord setup page in Integrations → Discord.

Connect in FinityAi

  1. Sign in to FinityAi, then open Integrations → Discord.
  2. Paste your Discord user ID and send the link request.
  3. Open Discord DMs and find the message from the Finity bot.
  4. Reply with the one-time code to finish linking. Use Unlink on the same integration page to disconnect later.

Reply with the code only

Send one message containing only the code. Avoid extra words, punctuation, or additional messages in the same moment so verification can complete cleanly.

Assistant: tools in Discord

Discord follows the same assistant rules as web chat. If a tool is enabled for your account, it can run from Discord too. If a tool is off, Discord respects that setting.

  1. Adjust models and tools in Assistant on the web.
  2. Refresh status in Integrations → Discord after linking.

  • “Summarize this Discord DM thread in three bullets.”
  • “Draft a short follow-up I can send to a teammate about tomorrow's deadline.”
  • “List my open tasks due this week.”
  • “What tools are enabled for me right now?”
  • “Find my latest notes about launch messaging and summarize action items.”

If something fails

  • ID rejected — confirm you copied your Discord user ID (digits only), not a username.
  • No DM received — check Discord DM privacy settings, then request a new code.
  • Code not accepted — send only the code in one message and request a fresh code if it expired.
